Come prepared and watch this how to efoil tutorial beforehand.
Because the more you know, the faster you learn.
Efoiling explained.
Efoiling is electric surfing on a specially designed board with a hydrofoil underneath.
The foil is an underwater wing structure powered by a silent, battery-powered electric motor.
You control the speed with a remote control attached to a wrist strap.
The foil works much like an airplane.
There are front and rear wings at the bottom of a mast.
As soon as you reach about 15 km/h, these wings provide enough lift to lift the board out of the water.
Because water is about 800 times denser than air, the wings for a foil are relatively small compared to those of an airplane.
As soon as you get “on the foil,” balance becomes important.
Unlike cycling, you have to maintain your balance not only sideways but also front-to-back.
This requires some coordination and practice!
You don’t need wind or waves, making Efoiling possible on a wide variety of waters.
It’s easy for beginners – with the right guidance, you’ll progress quickly.
Most people get the hang of it within an hour and can Efoil independently after a few lessons.
